Daniele Veronese & Stefano Albanese “untitled” cassette (Steep Gloss)

Since the early 2000s, Daniele and Stefano have explored the edges of sound through a series of collaborative projects. After many years following separate paths, they reunited in a farmhouse in the south of France. Over four days of live recording, surrounded by silence and open landscape, sound and place became inseparable.

From these sessions emerged two pieces shaped through real-time improvisation. Using tape manipulation, pedals, contact microphones, a small selection of keyboards, analog reel-to-reel recording, AM radio, and voice, everything was recorded live, with no overdubs. The music unfolded instinctively, guided by the space, the moment, and the surrounding environment.

Alongside this collaboration, Stefano runs Posacenere Records and remains active in several musical projects, while Daniele continues his artistic research between visual art and sound, pursuing solo work and leading the project Sound As Infinity.
