Ron Schneiderman “LAB SERIES #1: BRATTLEBORO, VT NOVEMBER 2025” CDR (Jan. ’95 CD-Rs)

I was very familiar with the work of Sunburned Hand of the Man, but I didn’t become aware of Ron Schneiderman’s Estey Field Organ Tone Archive project until last year. The ideas, and the drones, behind that project resonated so much with me. I’m happy Ron agreed to share some of their magic with the label with “LAB SERIES #1: BRATTLEBORO, VT NOVEMBER 2025,” inspired by the curiosity and engagement they encountered with live audiences.

As Ron says, “This debut collection of reworked organ drones were made by simultaneously playing Volume One, Volume Two, and Volume Three from the Estey Field Organ Tone Archive through three separate boom boxes, placed facing a Zoom digital recorder in a fairly empty room, in my house.”
